Master students from Karolinska Institutet join ALERT for thesis project

Meet our new master students that will write their thesis projects with us. Last week they met at Karolinska Institutet to prepare for their field visits to Malawi, Uganda, Tanzania and Argentina. In the picture they are downloading to program Nvivo for qualitative analysis of ALERT data.

The thesis projects:
Arianna Vadalà – Maternity care providers’ social practices shaping intrapartum care in Southern Tanzania. An observational study of the relationship-building with women.
Emily Bundy– Formalizing midwifery-led triage: hospital-based admissions processes in Malawi. 
Zuhaira Husna Fatma– What facilitates the use of various birthing positions? A Qualitative Study on Maternal Health Providers’ Perspectives in Ugandan Healthcare Facilities.
