Muzdalifat Salim Abeid, MD, MMed, PhD
I have more than 15 years of clinical experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology both in public and private institutions. Prior to joining Aga Khan University, Medical College, Tanzania as the Consultant OBGYN and Assistant Professor in 2018, I was the Head of the department of OBGYN at Temeke Regional Referral Hospital. My primary interests are clinical work, maternal and newborn health research, mentoring and coaching. I have been involved in collaborative research projects as a CO-PI such as the on-going ALERT project, WOMAN Trial, SAFER BIRTH and MOYO. I have supervised and mentored several Interns, master students, and 2 PhD students as a primary and secondary supervisor. I have published 11 articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented 2 papers in international conferences. I am an exemplary leader, evidenced by the various position I held at different professional associations, I am now the Honorary Secretary General of AGOTA.
